I Happen To Love Rabbits (Alice & Nivens)
The motionless rabbit that was cradled in her arms moved slightly, making soft fur tickle her skin. Looking down at the furry white animal, Alice lifted him higher, trying to hear his weak whispers. He wanted water? The girl had a slight moment of helplessness. Not being familiar with the land or where she was to find such a thing. “Oh! I’m not sure where there would be any water.” The girl’s features became troubled and she frowned in dismay.
Alice was about to ask him if he knew where they were. Perhaps he could help her locate a water source. Her lips parted to ask him such inquiries when she heard something, stilling her voice. The rush of water; like that of a waterfall. Carefully carrying McTwisp off the trail to the sound of twigs snapping underfoot, she let her ears lead her. The trees opened in front of her to show a waterfall filling up a small pond. Alice sat down crossed legged next to it, cradling the rabbit in her skirt. She held his head up while cupping a handful of the cold water. Bringing it up to his lips. “Here you are. Drink this slowly.”
All he could do was lay in her arms while she frantically struggled to find water. He would have been able to help if only he hadn’t panicked. The sound of water in the distance is like music to his ears.
Once they reach the pond and she tells him to, McTwisp manages to lift his hand a little and sip the water. After a moment, he says: “Thank-you, Alice!”
Because of your post about Easter and the Easter bunny…..
“Wait!” Gwen calls out as the rabbit starts to rush away. “What can you tell me about my aunt?”
McTwisp turns around to face the young woman. “What would you like me to tell you?” He asks, hopping closer to her.
not really. i just thought you should know. and i wanted to say i miss you.
He pulls her in for a hug. “You can come for a visit at any Time.”
about a year. vampires grow faster... and so do demons. and he's both.
His eyes narrow in confusion as he checks the time and date. “Well, I suppose a congratulations is in order?”
welll... you have been away for a long time....
He pulls out his pocket watch and checks it. “I don’t believe it was that long…”
“How did that happen? Wasn’t he just born?” The rabbit asks.
Mistaken Identity (Sarah and McTwisp)
A large grin appeared on Sarah’s face. “It sounds like it would be an absolutely marvelous place to visit. However, the thought of drinking blood doesn’t bode well with me. Whatever a Jabberwock even is; I wouldn’t be about to drink its blood.” She wrinkled her nose in disgust at that notion. “Walking through a magic mirror, or even diving down a rabbit hole sound much less revolting. And you have a Queen that rules it?” She nodded her head, strands of dark hair falling in her face. “That makes sense. The Underground had a king, a Goblin King to be precise. But I’m not really sure if he ruled all of the land or just his maze. I really don’t know much about that place, I guess. I did make some really terrific friends there, though. I keep thinking that I’d like to go back someday. How is it that you have the power to come and go between this world and that one?” Sarah was very intrigued by this. How she longed to go back to places like the Underground. They were far more interesting than her own world.
He allows himself to return her grin. “I can assure you that it is! There’s no longer need for a resistance, since the Bloody Big Head was overthrown and banished.” Her opinion on the Jabberwock blood has his back going rigid. “It’s a… creature. Was, actually. O-one of the Red Queen’s pets. You don’t have to worry about that, though, Ms. Sarah! It was slain by Alice!” Pride crosses his face as he mentions Alice.
He pauses to think. Was there a mirror he could easily get to? The only one who would have one was… “They’re called Looking Glasses, and they can take you anywhere you’d like!” He nods when she asks about the Queen. “Indeed. Mirana of Marmoreal. She rules fairly and is quite the opposite of her wicked sister.”
McTwisp listens intently to her story. When she asks him about how he was there, it takes a moment before he can word a response. “I have been given a task of the utmost importance by the Queen herself!”
